Gold Coast, Australia, (November 29, 2022) – Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific has been awarded multiple accolades at the HM Magazine Hotel Management Awards held on Friday, November 25.

The company picked up three awards at the black-tie event at The Star Event Centre in Sydney, including Asia Pacific Hotelier of the Year for President and Managing Director, International Operations, Barry Robinson.  

The HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence are the most prestigious industry awards in the region and celebrate the best properties, departments, people, chains and brands. Each year, more than 1,500 nominations are assessed to determine more than 40 category winners. 

The event was relocated to a larger venue of The Star Event Centre this year to accommodate the overwhelming industry demand to celebrate with colleagues and peers. 
A record crowd of 1,000 hotel industry professionals attended the 20th HM Awards.

“The industry has been through a tough time, and I am proud of the way our teams have responded. In further recognition for Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, Talent Development Manager Katherine Ireland was awarded Human Resources Associate of the Year.  Alvyn Chandra of Club Wyndham Denarau Island in Fiji was recognised as Hotel Engineer of the Year and Rose Tubuitamana, Housekeeping Manager at Club Wyndham Denarau Island was highly commended in the Housekeeper of the Year category.Wyndham Destinations is a division of Travel + Leisure Co.
