Denarau Island, Fiji (3 June 2026)Club Wyndham Denarau Island has helped overhaul the children’s outdoor play area at the local Loloma Home & Care Centre, which provides a sanctuary for vulnerable young mothers and their children, ranging from babies to teenagers.

The centre has provided a safe and caring environment for local children for nearly two decades, but its aging playground had fallen into disrepair and was no longer usable.

Through financial support from Club Wyndham Denarau Island, the space has been revitalised with repairs to the existing jungle gym, fresh paint, levelled grounds, a new sandpit, and the addition of swings, a see-saw and other play equipment, creating a welcoming place for children to learn, play and connect.

The FJ$14,000 project is funded entirely through the resort’s weekly charity auction, held during Owner Meet & Greets each Wednesday, a beloved resort tradition that gives Club Wyndham South Pacific owners an opportunity to meet each other – and make a difference

The charity auction has quietly transformed the surrounding community, with every contribution from owners and staff helping fund local initiatives like the playground revitalisation at Loloma Home & Care Centre. Beyond these projects, the resort maintains an ongoing relationship with the centre through regularly visits, Christmas gifts, meals and year-round donations.

“Every child deserves a place to play safely. We are proud to contribute to a community that has always welcomed us so warmly. It is an extraordinary sight to see those swings in motion,” said Craig Simpson, General Manager of Club Wyndham Denarau Island.

“We are so grateful to our incredible Club Wyndham South Pacific members and our staff, whose generosity makes these moments possible.”

Club Wyndham Denarau Island is one of 68 resorts that are part of Club Wyndham South Pacific, a leading vacation club managed by Travel + Leisure Co. The Travel + Leisure Co. team believes in supporting the communities where they live and work across the Asia Pacific region, often through activities like regular beach clean-ups, tree planting, philanthropy and fundraising.
