Denarau Island, Fiji (18 February 2025)Club Wyndham Denarau Island has committed more than FJ$50,000 in support to the Nadi Hospital, through a renovation of the men’s ward and the donation of a vital signs monitor valued at FJ$8,000, boosting the hospital’s capacity to deliver efficient and timely patient care.

The new monitor, which has already been delivered, will be instrumental in supporting the hospital’s outpatient team, streamlining the treatment process for the hundreds of patients they see daily.

By quickly and accurately measuring vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate, the monitor will empower healthcare professionals to make informed assessments and provide the appropriate care.

“Our support doesn’t end with the monitor. We are also excited to announce that we will provide a FJ$47,000 contribution towards the refurbishment of the hospital’s men’s ward starting next month,” he added.

The refurbishment will include the construction of new partition and interior walls, the installation of new plumbing, and the construction of shower cubicles and toilets, including accessible facilities for persons with a disability.

Additionally, the project will involve installing aluminum and internal glass doors, rewiring for new lighting, repainting internal and external structural walls, laying new floor and wall tiles, and upgrading sanitary fixtures and tapware.
