TRAVEL + LEISURE CO. ASIA PACIFIC LEGAL, SALES AND EVENTS TEAMS RECOGNISED WITH THREE ARDA AWARDS

GOLD COAST AND SINGAPORE (19 APRIL, 2024) – The Asia Pacific division of Travel + Leisure Co., the world’s leading membership and leisure travel company, has been recognised with three wins at the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) awards, considered the most competitive awards in the global industry.

The annual ARDA Awards recognise the top resorts, teams, individuals, and projects in the vacation ownership industry. This year, the awards were presented during ARDA’s annual spring conference in Las Vegas, NV.

The company’s Asia Pacific-based Legal and Compliance team won the Legal and Regulatory Manager, Team Member or Team category and Australia-based Frederich Becker was named Sales Management Leader, while the Australian events team was part of a winning global entry in the Special Event category.

The Legal and Compliance team’s achievement is particularly impressive considering it is the second consecutive time the team or a team member has won the international honour. The team, domiciled across Australia, Singapore and the Philippines, is charged with navigating complex regulatory environments across 13 countries of operation in sectors including finance, data, employment, financial services, mergers, acquisitions, workplace health and safety, and more.

This award acknowledged the team’s extensive work during the recent Travel + Leisure Co. acquisition of Accor Vacation Club – a leading vacation club with 30,000 members in the South Pacific – and their endeavours to enhance diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

Frederich Becker, Area Vice President Sales for the South Pacific region – based at the Gold Coast Corporate Centre – was recognised for the successful roll out of a more streamlined method of selling vacation ownership that has improved presentation consistency and compliance, while recording a substantial increase in sales volume. The new method of presenting also achieves high rates of guest satisfaction, with current post-presentation scores averaging around eight out of 10.

The company’s events team, also based on the Gold Coast, was recognised for its management of the Asia Pacific division’s annual President’s Club trip rewarding the company’s top performers in all fields, part of a global submission.
