ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA (JANUARY 31, 2023): Adelaide’s funky new TRYP by Wyndham Hotel is on the hunt to recruit more than 20 staff members for the hotel’s launch on March 1.
The hotel, on Pulteney Street, will host a recruitment open day on February 4 from 10am until 3pm in a bid to lure Adelaide’s best hospitality workers.
“We want people with an upbeat attitude who know Adelaide’s hidden gems well enough to recommend them to our guests,’’ general manager Neil Paterson said.
“Don’t turn up for interviews wearing a suit and tie. We want people to express their true personalities. There’s no need to make an appointment. Just drop in on February 4 between 10am and 3pm – with a CV and ID – and convince us that we need to employ you as part of our TRYP by Wyndham Pulteney Street Adelaide opening team.
“Typically in hotels, people with tattoos and piercings are often asked to cover them. At TRYP, it will be different. We will celebrate the unique personalities of our TRYP team members – so we welcome tattoos and piercings.
“Our uniforms will be t-shirts and jeans. TRYP celebrates creative and individual expression.’’

“We are on the hunt for people to join the TRYP team who have an instinctive ability to deliver the little touches that make a guest’s stay truly memorable,’’ Mr Paterson said.
The 120-room TRYP by Wyndham Pulteney Street Adelaide will have three categories of guest rooms. Standard, which will be studio size; deluxe will have superior finishes and fittings; and there will be six more spacious corner and executive suites on the 11th floor with eye-catching design standards.
The hotel has a gym, library, business centre and boardroom large enough to host meetings for up to 10 people.
The hotel’s Z Bar and Z Café are expected to fast become two of Adelaide’s hottest venues when they open on March 1.
Situated on Pulteney Street in Adelaide’s CBD, the hotel is close to Adelaide Zoo, Botanic Gardens, MOD, Art Gallery of South Australia and the Adelaide Oval.

DUNSBOROUGH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA (1 AUGUST, 2022) – Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific has begun an extensive project to refurbish all 82 apartments at Club Wyndham Dunsborough, located beachfront at Geographe Bay.
The property renewal, which is likely to reach approximately $5 million, will occur in stages until its conclusion in December and will boost the South West economy by utilising an estimated 35 local tradespeople and contractors, guided by the region’s branch of Programmed Property Services.
“After a couple of years’ worth of disruptions to our property development calendar, this has become one of our most extensive refurbishments. We are excited to finally begin this project, which will make Club Wyndham Dunsborough one of the crown jewels of our managed portfolio,” said Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, Procurement, Property Development and Technical Services, David Wray.
“A project of this scale will have a significant economic impact by utilising local businesses and featuring local materials, then by helping to fill the resort and encouraging our club owners to come back time and again to support local businesses in the beautiful Margaret River region,” he added.
Club Wyndham Dunsborough
Club Wyndham Dunsborough is part of Club Wyndham South Pacific, the region’s leading vacation ownership club with 52 locations across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand, Hawaii, Japan and Europe. Club apartments are updated according to a refurbishment schedule so they continue to look modern and fresh.
Research has shown that club members, having paid for their accommodation through vacation credits, tend to spend greater amounts in the local economy – more than $3,500 per trip. Factoring in the spend of guests in the local community, staff wages and contractor hire, the resort is estimated to have an economic impact of about $17 million per year.
The resort is popular with Club Wyndham South Pacific members, with an average of above 80 per cent until January and over 60 per cent all through until next April. The refurbishment is expected to generate additional interest and, potentially, further improve those figures.
As part of the project, all bathrooms and powder rooms in the apartments will be renewed, while kitchen benchtops will be replaced and cabinets refaced. Luxury vinyl flooring will be laid in the living areas, and new bedroom carpets will be 100 per cent wool.
Many apartments will be stocked with new furniture, sofa beds and soft furnishings like curtains. A bright new design scheme will inspire the selection of new furniture and soft furnishings, and the apartments will all be repainted accordingly.
“This project will freshen up the resort apartments and aims to bring the brightness and beauty of this part of the world inside for guests. The new look is inspired by the resort’s picture-perfect location on Geographe Bay and the Margaret River region’s famous sunshine,” said Mr Wray.
ClubWyndham Dunsborough
Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific’s sustainability credentials have been lauded by the hospitality industry and they are reflected in this refurbishment. The project features 100 per cent recyclable flooring and long-lasting finishes. The good quality used furniture from this project will be donated to local non-profit organisations and charities.

CHIBA, JAPAN (APRIL 27, 2022):Innovative Holiday Club by Club Wyndham (IHC) – a new concept promising to revolutionise how people take holidays – is making a special pitch to Japanese travellers at the weekend’s Nippon Professional baseball game between the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters and Yomiuri Giants in Chiba.
IHC is a unique holiday club giving its members usage rights at thousands of beautiful properties around the world and was developed by Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, part of Travel + Leisure Co. (NYSE:TNL), the world’s leading membership and leisure travel company.
“After almost two years with limited opportunities to travel, the demand for travel has never been higher and this represents a perfect time for us to introduce a new way to make it easier for families to travel,” said Barry Robinson, President and Managing Director of International Operations for Wyndham Destinations.
“Members of IHC can access exclusive inventory and luxurious resorts across the globe for decades to come through agreements with our club partners, including in locations across Japan, Asia, the South Pacific, North America and Europe,” explained Mr Robinson. “Our members have secured their holidays now and into the future and their membership ensures they take holidays year after year.”
IHC is an award-winning vacation club product and is the result of years’ worth of research and development by Mr Robinson and the team at Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, part of the world’s largest vacation ownership company. The club offers members a shorter-term commitment, additional ways to use points, personalised service and industry-leading health and hygiene standards, among other features.
IHC members pay an upfront fee to join the club and are given a points allocation annually which they can use to travel in ways that suit them. The key advantage of the club is that resort apartments are assigned points values initially which remain the same for the life of the club, meaning inflation is no longer a factor when booking holiday accommodation.
IHC points can currently be used to:
Enjoy holidays at 16 Japanese resorts
Stay at any IHC resorts for the term of the club (until 2040)
Stay at a range of Green Kang resorts across 11 provinces of China
Stay in hundreds of other holiday club properties across the Wyndham Destinations network
Exchange points to stay in thousands of resorts with the world’s leading vacation ownership exchange company, RCI
Exchange member points to stay at almost 9,000 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts properties globally
Exchange member points to stay at thousands of vacation rentals around the world
Club Wyndham Sundance Lake Resort – one of 16 Japanese resorts that IHC members can utilise
IHC members have access to 16 local resorts through Sundance Resort Club, which Wyndham Destinations now manages after acquiring the rights in 2019.
At the end of the IHC club term in 2040, the assets of the club will be sold and net proceeds will flow back to members.
Mr Robinson and Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific executive team members Kieran Mckenna, Senior Vice President Sales; David Wray, Senior Vice President Acquisitions, Procurement, Property Development and Technical Services; and Warren Cullum, Senior Vice President Operations, will be present at the game.
Barry Robinson
“Those of us from Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific at Fighters Kamayaga Stadium today are looking forward to an entertaining game and atmosphere and, of course, meeting people who are as passionate about travel as we are,” Mr Robinson said.
“We are proud to be part of the MVP presentation and the audience prize giveaway, and we will have booths at the front entrance and on the concourse. We would encourage people to stop by and see how they can enjoy memorable holidays through IHC.”
Across the Asia Pacific region, Wyndham Destinations develops and markets three vacation ownership clubs: Club Wyndham Asia, Club Wyndham South Pacific and Innovative Holiday Club by Club Wyndham.
