The awards, held overnight at the Palladium on Crown in Melbourne, are an annual event to recognise the leading hotels, industry professionals and onsite amenities in the Victorian accommodation industry.

Bali, Indonesia (12 August 2024) – Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali General Manager, Bagus Ngurah, has been honoured with the prestigious Bali Top Hospitality Leader Award at the 9th Bali Tourism Awards 2024/2025.

The award recognises Ngurah’s significant contributions to the Bali tourism industry as a passionate hospitality professional and lecturer. He recently coordinated the Hotel General Manager Lab through the Indonesian Hotel General Manager Association, where he serves as the Vice Chairman. This educational program trained 17 hospitality industry professionals in various areas such as leadership, human capital management, sales and marketing, food and beverage and sustainability.

Ngurah is also a hospitality lecturer at Politeknik International Bali, honing the next generation of hospitality professionals. Recently held at the Bali Sunset Road Convention Centre, the Bali Tourism Awards is an annual event initiated by the Indonesia Travel & Tourism Award (ITTA) Foundation. The club features 54 resorts across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Hawaii and Europe. Club Wyndham South Pacific is a leading vacation club developed by Travel + Leisure Co. with close to 60,000 members.

The apartments are undergoing a transformation designed to elevate the guest experience with a classic coastal theme, featuring a welcoming colour palate of blue and white with pops of orange and the use of natural materials inspired by Ramada Marcoola Beach’s absolute beachfront position.

The apartments will be updated with vinyl timber flooring in common spaces and dark blue carpet in bedrooms, light blue walls, new balcony settings and an emphasis on timber furniture. The property is managed by Travel + Leisure Co. and is part of Club Wyndham South Pacific, one of the region’s largest vacation clubs.

The new design draws inspiration from the laid-back coastal surroundings of the region, featuring a vibrant colour palette of hot pinks and pastel shades of green, orange, and blue.

“The decor reflects the colours of summer and evokes the feeling of idyllic beach days with a chic coastal theme,” said Vera Garner, Senior Manager of Projects and Design at Travel + Leisure Co.

Key upgrades include stylish wood-look vinyl flooring, custom carpets designed to mimic sea foam meeting shell-laden sand, and redesigned kitchens for improved functionality. New furniture and fixtures, technological upgrades such as international and USB-C power outlets, and enhanced lighting solutions will contribute to the overall transformation. Woven textures throughout add to the stylish coastal look, and white timber shutters will also be installed in the spacious grand and presidential apartments.

With an average spend of $3,538 per party per trip and 5,100 bookings in 2023, Club Wyndham Coffs Harbour contributes an estimated $20.4 million annually to the Coffs Harbour economy. The resort maintains over 80 percent occupancy year-round and employs approximately 33 staff members.

The refurbishment project is estimated to be completed by the end of August. All used furniture is being donated to Lifeline.
