DENARAU ISLAND, FIJI (30 APRIL 2026) – Club Wyndham Denarau Island has unveiled Land’s End Bar & Grill, a vibrant new ocean-front dining destination perched at the very tip of Denarau Island, where the island meets the Pacific. Formerly known as The Beach Shack, the waterfront restaurant offers Fiji’s signature island hospitality and one of the best vantage points in Fiji to witness the elusive natural phenomenon known as the Green Flash.

The Green Flash is visible for only a fleeting second as the sun disappears below the horizon and occurs when the atmosphere refracts sunlight like a prism, creating a brilliant emerald rim at the edge of the setting sun. According to romantic folklore, those lucky enough to witness it will “never again go wrong in matters of the heart.” Land’s End capitalises on the romance of this phenomenon, with green-hued cocktails and subtle green lighting illuminating its beachfront setting. There’s even a themed pirate ship for an Instagram-worthy photo with family and friends.

With uninterrupted ocean views across the Mamanuca Islands, Land’s End is fast becoming the resort’s premier sunset gathering spot, where guests sip tropical cocktails, enjoy fresh Pacific Rim cuisine and watch the sky ignite with colour as day fades into night.

“Land’s End Bar & Grill captures the magic of Fiji in one unforgettable moment. It offers great food, warm Fijian hospitality, and one of the most spectacular sunsets in the South Pacific,” said Craig Simpson, General Manager of Club Wyndham Denarau Island. “It’s now the perfect place to share the excitement of spotting the legendary Green Flash with your loved ones.”

Pacific Rim flavours with a Fijian soul

Land’s End is a modern island grill shaped by fire, sea and sunset. From fresh seafood to premium meat cuts, it reflects the flavours of Fiji with a subtle sense of adventure.

The à la carte menu celebrates the vibrant flavours of the Pacific Rim, combining international favourites with locally inspired ingredients and traditional Fijian influences, including a Fijian Lovo Night and a weekly roast buffet.

Menu highlights include Kokoda Vuda; Island-style Grilled Octopus; Yasawa Island lobster; and Greenham Beef Rump with local spices. Delicious desserts such as baked ripe banana with toasted coconut and golden crumble served warm with vanilla ice cream; traditional Fijian cassava cake; and a silky lemon crème brûlée are also inspired by the restaurant’s island setting.

Guests can pair their meals with tropical cocktails such as the Yasawa Sunset, international wines, and island classics, including rum-based favourites and refreshing mojitos, from the resort’s extensive drinks menu.

The daily sunset ritual begins with Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm, when guests gather on the waterfront deck with drinks in hand, watching the sky shift from gold to crimson as the Pacific horizon glows.

As evening settles in, live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday adds to the lively atmosphere, turning Land’s End into a social hub where travellers and locals mingle against a backdrop of ocean breezes and great food.

Land’s End is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and welcomes resort guests, locals and visitors.

MISSION BEACH, AUSTRALIA, 22 APRIL 2026: Club Wyndham Mission Beach has unveiled a multi-million-dollar refurbishment aimed at strengthening year-round tourism and driving new visitation to the Cassowary Coast.

The resort was a long-time tourist favourite under its previous name, Castaways, and the renewal that has taken place since its purchase by Travel + Leisure Co. is providing tourists with fresh incentive to visit the region. It comes as the Cassowary Regional Council unveils the $19 million Mission Beach Town Centre Revitalisation Project, which includes the installation of underground services to improve amenity, new footpaths and street lighting, enhanced landscaping and upgrades to the nearby Village Green and Porter Promenade.

At the same time, Club Wyndham Mission Beach’s 48 suites have undergone a transformation inspired by the Great Barrier Reef, the Wet Tropics rainforest, and the resort’s absolute beachfront location. A palette of turquoise, coral and white sets the tone, inviting guests to relax and unwind in a tropical setting.

1-bedroom Grand

All studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and loft-style apartments have been updated with soft, sandy textures, light timber finishes, fresh paint, and vibrant cushions and ottomans. All furniture and beds are brand new, while kitchenettes have been installed in studio rooms. New kitchens have been installed in the 1-bedroom Grand apartments, while blackout curtains have also been added in both bedrooms and studios, allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted rest. The reception area, internal corridors and gym were also repainted and renovated in line with the theme.

“As part of our club model of ownership, Club Wyndham Mission Beach will now be part of a regular cycle of refurbishment – meaning Mission Beach will continue to have fresh, contemporary accommodation in the long-term,” said Warren Cullum, Senior Vice President Operations, Travel + Leisure Co.

“Research shows that our vacation owners spend more on holidays than regular travellers and vacation ownership properties have higher rates of occupancy than traditional hotels and resorts. We are already seeing increased visitation to the property and positive guest reviews reflect overall momentum,” he added.

1-bedroom Deluxe

Club Wyndham Mission Beach joined Club Wyndham South Pacific, the region’s largest vacation club with close to 60,000 owners, when Travel + Leisure Co. purchased the property in May last year. As one of the club’s newest additions, owners have showed strong enthusiasm, with occupancies reaching a consistently high level. Previously, the resort closed during quieter periods of the year.

The average post-stay score recorded since Club Wyndham purchased the property – the most accurate means of measuring guest satisfaction – currently sits at nine out of 10, indicating guests are enjoying their time at the resort. Travel + Leisure Co. will also explore additional ways to continue to enhance the guest experience.

“Many of our guests have never travelled to Mission Beach before, and have already expressed a desire to return. They love the seclusion the town offers and the friendliness of the locals, and they enjoy the idea they can experience all the attractions without the crowds found at more established destinations,” said General Manager, Alicea Blanks.

Renovated bar

Mission Beach boasts the attractions and conveniences of an emerging regional destination, including the closest coastal launch point to the Great Barrier Reef, UNESCO-listed Wet Tropics rainforest, secluded Dunk Island, long stretches of quiet beach, and some of Australia’s best grade three and four whitewater rapids on the nearby Tully River. As travellers increasingly seek destinations offering “quietude” and deeper, slower travel opportunities, Mission Beach is well-positioned to capitalise on its considerable potential.

“The refurbishment of Club Wyndham Mission Beach, one of our most beloved resorts, and its management by an international hospitality provider has been a boon to our tourism industry. The club network means people across Australia and overseas are hearing about Mission Beach for the first time, driving increased visitation and delivering tangible benefits to local hospitality businesses,” said Teresa Millwood, Cassowary Regional Council Mayor.

The project has also had a direct effect on the region’s economy by employing approximately 15 local tradespeople and contractors. It is estimated that the resort will generate a direct and indirect economic contribution of close to $10 million annually, including through staff wages and guest spending.

In line with Travel + Leisure Co. sustainability standards, quality used furniture from the refurbishment was donated to Vinnies in Cairns.

Club Wyndham Mission Beach

Travel + Leisure Co. is the developer of Club Wyndham South Pacific and oversees approximately 100 properties across the Asia Pacific region, including Club Wyndham Mission Beach and a further 55 properties in Australia.

Phuket, Thailand (7 April 2026) — Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay, a premier destination for luxury honeymoon, has launched its first fully electric vehicle (EV) dedicated to in-house guest transfers to reduce the property’s carbon footprint and fuel consumption, while ensuring a noise-free experience for guests.

Situated high on a hillside overlooking the Andaman Sea, the upscale resort is spread out over a significant parcel of land, meaning that shuttle services are often required to connect guests travelling between the 132 pool villas and suites and facilities including the lobby, gym, main pool, restaurants, spa and onsite orchard. The average transfer distance is between 500 metres and one kilometre.

With 9,000 to 10,000 internal transfers recorded monthly, the resort’s gradual shift from traditional combustion engines to zero-emission vehicles is expected to make a measurable impact on energy efficiency and noise reduction across the property. Annual CO₂ savings from switching to zero-emission EVs are estimated to range from 12.15 to 27 metric tonnes.

“This initiative marks a significant step forward in our sustainability journey and commitment to environmentally conscious hospitality. By replacing noisy traditional engines with clean electric transport, we’re helping create a more sustainable future for our community and a more peaceful experience for our guests, many of whom are couples seeking relaxation,” said Dominic Egger, General Manager of Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay and Director of Operations Thailand at Travel + Leisure Co.

Guests can easily book internal transfers through the resort’s Wyndham Grand app – which they are informed about during check-in – or via Kalim, the resort’s multilingual AI guide available on the resort’s website.

The EV shuttle is a factor in the resort’s 5-star Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating (STAR) from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. It complements the property’s existing sustainability initiatives, like its onsite organic orchard supporting an “Orchard-to-Table” concept for dining and spa treatments, a composting program that upcycles food waste into fertiliser, energy-efficient smart villas, and the total elimination of single-use plastics.

In line with Phuket’s growing emphasis on eco-tourism, Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay also offers an EV charging station for guests who travel with electric vehicles themselves.

This initiative and others implemented by the resort’s Travel Green team ensure the property meets the criteria of the government initiative “Green Hotel Plus Phuket Sandbox,” which aims to certify 600 hotels on the island to global green standards this year to prepare for a surge in eco-conscious travellers. The island will host the Global Sustainable Tourism Conference (GSTC2026) in May 2026, an event which will serve as a major milestone for these environmental goals.

The rooms have been updated with new artwork, new beds and sofa beds, stylish armchairs, contemporary lighting, fresh window furnishings and new shower screens for a modern finish. Nature has been brought inside with beachy décor pieces, VJ wall panelling, and live plants in every room.

These thoughtful touches create an environment that feels like home to guests – where they can relax in comfort and style after a day exploring the region.

Clark, Philippines (15 January 2026)Travel + Leisure Co. has strengthened its commitment to wildlife conservation by adopting 30 sea turtle nests containing approximately 3,600 eggs at the Pag-asa Pawikan Protection and Conservation Center (3P3C) in Bagac, Bataan.

Each nest contains around 80 to 120 sea turtle eggs, which are safely cared for at the center’s hatchery before the hatchlings are released into the sea.

The nest adoption forms part of 3P3C’s Adopt-a-Nest program, a vital fundraising effort that supports volunteer shore patrols. These patrols help protect turtle eggs from poachers, natural predators, and marine pollution. Funds raised also go toward essential supplies, including hatchery materials and patrol equipment.

The adoption was made possible through the Travel + Leisure Co. Travel Green program, which encourages employees to support environmental causes through volunteering and fundraising. Team members based in Clark contributed personally to raise funds for the conservation effort.

As part of the initiative, the company also organized an on-site visit to Bataan. During the visit, employees attended a sea turtle conservation orientation led by 3P3C and witnessed the release of hatchlings into the sea.

“We are incredibly proud of our team members who actively volunteer and donate to meaningful causes like turtle conservation,” said Liam Crawley, President of Travel + Leisure Global Support Services Philippines, the global support center of Travel + Leisure Co. “We have been working with 3P3C since 2022, and this marks our sixth joint hatchling release. Last year alone, we helped release more than 140 hatchlings.”

The Philippines is home to five of the world’s seven sea turtle species, including olive ridley, green, and the critically endangered hawksbill turtles. These species nest along the shores of Bagac and are protected under the Philippine Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act (RA 9147). Despite legal protection, sea turtles continue to face serious threats such as poaching, marine pollution, and natural predators, resulting in low survival rates.

Based in Bagac, 3P3C plays a key role in sea turtle conservation through regular shore patrols, rescue and rehabilitation of injured turtles, and community education programs. Its work highlights the importance of collaboration between local communities and the private sector in protecting marine life.
